The Department of Energy was established effective July 1, 2021. It was created by the NH legislature to promote and coordinate energy policies and programs in the state. The Public Utilities Commission, Site Evaluation Committee, Office of Consumer Advocate and the Energy Efficiency & Sustainable Energy Board are administratively attached.
